Some things are irritating, the right whiskers have a very strong white edge, which was completely absent in your first submission. The left whiskers are missing. I find the slightly grey/light spots beneath the cat's paws disruptive. I approve to the shimmer on the fur. Sorry, that I cannot provide any more secrets for depicting a black cat's fur. Regards!

The seeming aura around his paws is a function of the way the edges of her coat glisten. She has a dynamic range problem I fear. The glistening silvery white areas are very easily overexposed, yet the dark areas tend to show little or no detail. Yet in low light, they still reflect the lighting. I did not retouch around her feet. That's they way her legs and feet looked in this lighting -- no PS tricks there. I did edit the whiskers that you can see on the far side since she has black whiskers. To view at the Proper size, hit Command-Zero and your browser will show the image at 100%, actual size as I intended for internet posting, though my images for SIG are often smaller than I generally use, which would be 1024 wide or 900 tall.

Great light control & detail under such low light conditions. Nice catch light in the eye too. Thanks for sharing the new crop,Joe.
