Hi Don..the pose is certainly an interesting one and you did a fine job capturing it. I do think that the lighting, especially near the snail's face needs some adjusting as the face / head is hidden in shadow. Image seems pretty well focused and sharp but you could consider a narrower aperture to bring more of the shell into focus. This though would make lighting even more of a challenge but you could try an ISO boost. Keep at it and take care.
