I agree with both previous commenters. Should you have had a perfect square crop with whole clock visible, now you'd have 6TU in total here. It's even more pity because sharpness and color are perfect. If it's possible, go ahead and try - and change nothing else but a way to cut out the perfect square around the clock dial.

Hi Chet..I think I would have liked to have seen either the entire face of the clock with all the numerals intact and in view or just the inner workings without any of the larger numerals. The lighting looked like it was a bit tricky here as there are blown reflections near the upper left. Overall though a good effort as the image is quite well focused. A simpler one tone background would also help. Keep at it.

The subject is a good idea: the mechanism of a clock! I like the thin pieces and the transparence. The only thing is that maybe the whole is off-center, either the whole clock or just the mechanism, it's just my opinion :)

How about picking up the pace on critique writing? The site expectation is that all members will return three crititiques to the community for each work they post. You've posted 4 crits in the last year while posting a similar number. Let's do the fair thing and write more crits as the site is intended.
