This busy coffee shop delivers; flowers too.

Hi Adam...colours of the flowers are what draw the eye against the metal of the cars and bikes. I think that overall the scene is just a bit too busy and jumbled. If you could have composed this with just the flowers and bike then I think it would have had more impact. It is a street shot and sometimes we take what we get but I think this one needs a bit more selective compositional work. Keep them coming..

Hello Lorne --- I decided to show the scene as I saw it, with its own composition, so to speak. I often wonder about this theory of directing the viewer's attention to the main object _only_ by removing everything else. Is this really the only way? And how about showing several things in their compositional relationship? Of course, i may be wrong here and the whole picture is no good... I cannot _make_ the viewer think my way. Thanks for the review; I appreciate your suggestions. Regards - Adam

The flowers are vibrant and defintely the focal point of your shot - but with the car and the bikes all in the same shot - it appears too much with the flowers - if it was just the bike and the flowers it would have been better - also the greenery at the bottom of the photo is distracting Debbie
