I think ther is too much space round the main subject here. I would suggest a much tighter crop up to the leaves on either side of the bud or maybe even a bit tighter.This would make the ant more prominent in the picture.I would also suggest a slight increase in saturation as well as a touch of unsharp mask.Finally maybe add a white border as in some of your flower shots.I also prefer to put a thin black edge to the photo as well but borders are a personal choice.IMO these small adjustments would really make the photo more appealing.
