To turn a 'very ordinary subject' that's been tackled many times before into 'something special' takes a great deal of vision for which I congratulate you.

Fantastic shot and beautifully lit - really inspiring for me. Did you do much post production work? The water seems darker around the left hand edge of the boat? A very small point though! Thank you for sharing

This is a wonderful photograph. The lighting in superb, combined with deep contrast and the reflection makes for a very calming composition. Although a fan of borders/frames on fine art type shots, I don't think the heavy black and white helps here. Otherwise I would award 3 thumbs!
Thanks
Rob

I like the spacing of your elements, its a great composition,
although if the reflected bow of the boat has similar spacing the intro line (the rope) might create more dynamic tension. I do enjoy this image very much.

Never have I seen such a surealistic scene in such sharp detail. The first thing that comes to mind is the line from the Ancient Mariner, "as idle as a painted ship upon a painted ocean . . . " I'm sure you must have cropped this phot in this way for a good reason, but I would like to have seen more space above and below. Thank you so much for sharing this image with us.

Hi Charly...a well photographed tranquil scene. The oar in the water is an added visual bonus and the water is so still it has a somewhat thick looking almost creamy appearance. The lighting on the front hull is excellent. I think the image could have used more breathing room at the top of the frame. Good image overall.

Very nice shot Charly. I really like reflection shots and this one is very nice It does seem to me that the picture just needs a little more space on the top, but thatâs just me. The water color is very soothing.
