Hello Stephen,
this is a very well composed and executed photo that shows nothing but a small spot in a forest. At first I felt the tree trunk on the right was too dominant, but I'm beginning to like it more and more as I'm looking at the photo a little longer.
The almost monochrome feel of the picture adds greatly to the atmosphere. The mist acts as a catalyst for the suggestion of depth. Very nice work that illustrates the stillness in the forest.

I really think this is a terrific photograph. The reason for me is that is has a lot of presence. I look at this image and feel that I'm in the forest. I can feel the slightly damp air. The forrest is the subject and it is present very well. Nice job.
