a great spot for a photo, and the subject matter is appealing. i agree that the fence is positioned in such a way that it actually blocks part of the cabin, and serves as a visual barrier. perhaps getting closer to the fence, and leaving a bit of space between it and the cabin, would have worked better? also, i find the image a bit underexposed. perhaps some brightening up would help mitigate the effects of the slightly overdone HDR...

I like the photo but I would enjoy it more if converted to B&W with a yellow or maybe an orange filter. I feel that the central position of the log house is okay but not ideal. I might crop this photo from the right to shift the cabin off center. Regards. Bill

Hi Mike, welcome to PhotoSig. What a beautiful cabin in the autumn woods. The fence doesn't help with this composition. It appears to block the viewers view of the cabin (subject). I can see other possible compositions with the fence with the best moving to the right and shoot over a bit so the fence acts as a leading line to the cabin. The house is centered as well and that makes the image too static. Good use of HDR and a beautiful place.
