This is what I call "eye contact". Such wonderful performance in the line of eyes would keep this portrait superb even if the rest would be blurred or smudged. Of course, whole scenery follows. Sloped line of the lace adds to mistery and returns my eye back to those eyes.

I have a complaint of personal taste: girl's left arm (our right) distracts perfect line of opposition. Should it have been covered by lace or dressed in black sleeve, contrast of light top and dark bottom would be kept ideally and I would give an easy 3TU here. But again, that's just me: I might be wrong about this.
