I can't decide if I like this or not. I like the layering of the hills with the fog, and the zig zag composition. The bright pond in the front keeps drawing my eye to it yet it isn't the main subject. I'd suggest trying cropping off about half the pond at the bottom to see if that improves the photo, or perhaps cropping the pond out entirely so that it doesn't distract the viewer from the hills and fog.

I am glad I opened this one up, it is really quite good when you see the subtle mist in the distant hills. The lighting and colour look very realistic to me, I would be reluctant to boost it at all. My main reservation is that it really needs to be sharper in the foreground, where the air is clear.

I like the layering in the photo and also the zig-zag element of the composition. I think, however, that the composition could be improved by moving a bit more t the left and mving the peak in the distance out of the centre. Lighting is not ideal. Manipulating the curve so that the grradient is a bit steaper in the high information regions and flatter in those regions where there is little information helps (I tried it). Finally, the photo could also be a little sharper - not certain whether you sharpened after resizing. Regards Fritz
