Very interesting approach and imaginative work Sven. I like the creative use of reflections, it is an image that makes me come back and look again. (By the way very clean and neat country, Germany) However, I would crop out the lower part leaving out the cars completly as well as the pedestrian. The wooden ladder laying on the ground and only top of elevator (on bottom) in my opinion is sufficient (if that is what it is an elevator glass cabin) In any case, these would explain clearly the real world versus the reflected world (without all the distractions).Just a thought. By the way I replied to your comment on my image if you have not seen it yet. Thanks for sharing this interesting and conceptual image.Enjoy looking at it. Regards Dara

This is one of those photos that I've enjoyed looking at for some time. That icy aquamarine colour looks very attractive against the greys and the dark lines give a strong structure to the piece, rather like some of Piet Mondrian's paintings. The reversal of the image has produced the intriguing illusion of some trapped sea-being looking for escape :)

It's an impressive find when restricting yourself to your work area. A very good example of making images rather than expecting them to be ready-made. I greatly look forward to seeing the final version. (Hope that doesn't sound too formal, I get that way when I'm sleepy and I can't find the words to say what I mean ;)).

Yes. Interesting angle. Not sure about cropping out the car. The horizontal ladder really makes this image. I like it.

I think it needs cropping from the bottom to get rid of the white van and its tyres. I'd also try blurring at the top to remove some of the noise. Interesting angle.

Thanks Art! This is just an initial scan of the image; I'll have it scanned w/o grain reduction at a higher resolution and then focus more on de-noising it properly. This is ISO 400 film, after all... I wondered about losing the van, but that meant also losing part of the vertical structure, and I didn't like that. Anyway, I'll look into it again.
