Took this from a flat angle and from a distance to compress space as there is a path between two fields that kinda disappears at this angle and it looks as though the trees are just growing in the field. Wanted an almost abstract feel. Left the sky flat in contrast as it would compete too much with the rest of the shot otherwise. The shot is more about the colour palette, the simple shapes and the three trees in an almost surreal environment. Hard to appreciate on a small compressed file. Could have gone higher on contrast but again, it wouldn't suit the mood of the shot. Not everything has to be high contrast! Not a traditional landscape, but hope you like it.

Torches indeed! I really like this. The yellow field of flowers is amazing by itself and the trees are perfect subjects. If the sky had been pure blue, I think the pink colour of the trees would be drowned out, but I do agree with the first reviewer that there is just too much dreary grey cloud in the shot. I think only a subtle application of blue colour gradient and/or contrast could add enough to make ever facet of this shot amazing. Thanks for sharing. This shot would look great as a big print.

I think it's a nice shot, a delicate picture of trees and fields of flowers, clean and simple with a good colour contrast. I know it's your choice to leave the sky flat but, IMO, a bit of color would make the picture even more beautiful
