Hello Paul. Nice capture of these stairs as well as this play of light and shadows here. However I think that I would prefer to try to cropp a little down part of photo as well as try to reduce brightness on some too bright areas on these stairs, I mean edge of these stairs. Beside in my opinion this photo could be also works well cropped into a square format. Regards, Michal.

For me this feels unbalanced. There's too much dark on the right serving no obvious purpose. The top of the steps is shown and has nothing there - either I want the mystery of what's beyond the top so you crop the top off or I want my eye to land on something there. That heavy triangle on the left does I suppose lead into the steps but overall my eye just wanders about and leaves disappointed.

Mike

A nice simple composition, with good texture and tone. I think I would clone or crop out the lit area in the bottom left corner that is not on the steps, and clone out the two weeds on the steps. A couple slight hot spots in the highlights but overall nice shot. Cheers -Sonja
