this is cool!! hard to catch. nice focus point. need a bit of PS and a bit of crop then it will be very nice!!! Dario

Sorry for the TD for this but there are a lot of things in the photo that are "not good" and I doubt is can be redeemed without reshooting. The background has a huge number of blown highlights that are extremely distraction. The crop is way too tight, cutting off fins and tale. There is not detail in the body of the subject. the imaging is soft, especially in the eye, which should be the main focus. I do like the interaction you have with the fish and "expression" you have managed to capture there.

Thanks for looking Gary. This fish is extremely hard to photograph in the wild. You're quite right in all your statement.

Hello Robert, I too have a Nikonos III. I know how hard it is to use compared to a modern autofocus and autoexposure camera. However, you should be able to do much better than this, especially in well lit tropical water. I did most of my Nikonos work in British waters where often you are doing well to see your own fins :-) Just keep trying.
