I can see why you were attracted to that jumble of rocks but I think that's what it remains a rather unstructured group of rocks in near silhouette and that harsh shadow line across the largest rock really kills any chance of composition. I do like that curving path and the way that you have used it and the colours too are very delicate.

Thanks, Mike, for that assessment. I didn't expect either version of this shot to get good reviews. I couldn't seem to get a good angle on it whilst shooting and I couldn't get it right in Photoshop either. I was hoping for ideas on how to make it work but, I think you're right, it will never be more than a snapshot. At least you noticed the deliberate use of the path :-)
