Taken last week on the hebridean island of Islay. I just liked the pastel tones in the scene.

Thanks Talal, no it's just a normal photograph with minimal photoshop work. Exposure was dialed in at +2/3rds stop to produce an accurate representation of what I saw at the time-bright but hazy. I tried more contrast etc as others have mentioned but it doesn' work in my eyes. This shot is all about the pastel tones. Cheers, Rob

I like the photo but it appears to be a bit bright and flat. I would lower the brightness, and increase both the contrast and saturation. I would like to see the near yellow spit of sand more golden. The far shoreline needs to be a bit more prominent rather thsn hazy or bland. The sky can achieve a darker gray blue than as I see it now. Regards. Bill

robert - this is a nice scene in this photo. thought pastel is not my taste i do like how this came out. i think the frames are a bit too much (as in too thick) as it takes away from the overall composition. the lower portion seems a little grainy/not sharp - maybe a touch more sharpening - but nice photo. tx4sharing - Ron

Leisurely scene with leisurely pastel and smart horizontal line. The curve that the sandbank made enhances the foreground as well. Still, I would prefer to minify those words printed on the frame so as to reduce the distraction. Good job anyway.

Beautiful pastel tones and excellent composition, a well balanced image albeit a bit deceptive ... Scotland is much like Ireland, such lights and colours are all too rare unfortunately !
