Hi Burke,
That sky works great with the horses atop this structure, and gives the scene a very dramatic feel. I think I'd like to see this with a little more space on the bottom, perhaps letting the stairs/railing get to the lower right corner. Alternatively, it might also be cool to see something more focused on the horses. best,
steve

Steve, thanks for the feedback, I feel that you are absolutely right. Now when I look again, I reckon that the stairs would ground the whole image and offer balance. Thank you for the comments, very helpful! Burke

I like the tonal range of this B&W shot. The sky is beautiful and the lighting is very good.
Couple of things to improve. First, you should leave more room in the bottom. It seems cut off. Then, frame the subject more to the right so it is not center. Last, you can do a little perspective correction on the keystone effect.

Alex, thank you for the feedback. I feel that your thoughts about the framing would definitely have improve the flow of the image. I like how you picked up the keystone effect; I am yet to explore perspective correction, but you have inspired me to investigate. Burke

I really like this image, though I would prefer it with more dramatic contrast. For such an 'excessive and overbearing structure" it seems to get lost in the midtone grays.

Julie, thank you for your feedback. You've made me think about contrast and I've gone back to the image to experiment with curves and how to make the structure stand out more. Very helpful. Thank you! Burke
