This spider web in a fallen tree I captured while on a 4 hour "photo safari". It was taken in one of my favorite photographic locations, Thousand Acre Swamp which is part of the Cookson State Forest in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. The full gallery can be found on my website: http://www.ruralamericanimages.com under the Adventures section 3-19-12.

A good job! Where is the house keeper itself? (Spider) hehehe, it would be great if it was there too. First I thought it was in black and white, but later found the lower band in color, so better convert it completely in B&W. TFS, Mehrdad

Hi Ed, very distinct capture of the web... Good lighting, clarity and composition as is the DOF and colouring. Possibly the large negative space top right is a little too much, but this is subjective and goes against my good composition comment.

Interesting pattern in the web Ed. I like that the web design is not perfect. The web also stands out well due to the lighting conditions. I also like the composition, but would have left just a little more room at the top. It also might have been nice to have the web-maker somewhere in the frame.
