I like the placement of the woman in the lower left. Her red clothing really makes her stand out from the background. Unfortunately, as you indicated, you had a hazy sky to contend with and the washed out sky somewhat ruins the photo. I tried picturing the photo with some/most of the sky cropped out but am unsure if that would work. You'd lose the red in the woman's dress but there might be enough fine detail and texture in the image to try a B&W conversion.

Thanks. I will try a B&W conversion even though I'm usually not a fan of B&W for landscapes.

I like the composition with these 3 almost equal parts, the contrast between these 3 'layers', the women well located who catches first our vision, which is then conducted to the snow on top of the mountain. I wish there would have been more details in the middle part. Colours are vibrant in the foreground but a bit dull on the mountain, but you explain the reason why. You could have used a slightly slower shutter speed so as to have a smaller aperture and hence a bit more depth of field.

Thanks! You're absolutely right, this picture could use more depth of field.

Welcome to PhotoSIG Kim. The colors are very appealing, and yes, the woman in the foreground is key to making this a nice photo. One could only wish there were a bit more in the foreground as there's still a lot of repeated space, but perhaps that in itself is part of the picture's message. The layered appearance of foreground, near mountains, far mountains and sky works quite well. Kevin

Thanks. The colours are indeed the main reason I like this picture myself.
