A very beatutiful view you found here. I belive that saturation could have been increased a bit here to make the picture more "eye catching". Also using the rule of thirdsl as mentioned with cropping the sky, will make it stand more out.. Best regards from Stian

Hello Stian, Thanks for your comment. I experimented a lot with contrast and saturation before settling on what you see. Any more saturation, either global or local, and it looks unreal to me. You are right, more saturation makes it more eye catching, and it might have got more views, but I was trying to keep it realistic.

I do like his scene with the cloud on the ground. Like the mood created. i woudl considere to reomve some sky even if it is very great to get a more landscape crop.

thanks for sharing, Jean.

Hello Jean, Thanks for commenting. I have tried it with the top half cropped away and it is a better image.

Go for a panoramic crop as most of the sky is not really adding to the story of your photograph which is about the mist on the ground. I wish the light was coming from the other side to illuminate the trees rather than having the trees in shadows.

Thanks for commenting David. You are right about the sky. Unfortunately, regarding the lighting, I can't make the sun rise in the west :-) I suspect that the mist only looks the way it does because it is backlit.
