I agree with previous commenter light was too harsh, but I guess this was unique opportunity and it's hard to make arrangements with such clients :) Nice shot though, within possibilities; nothing else to do further. I would try though to clone out those green branches behind the baby crane: the simpler the better. I would also experiment further with cropping: I'd go towards square crop, subtracting a bit more from the left, making crane entering the scenery in more dramatic way. Thanks for sharing!

James - nice capture of the crane. I think that the lighting - because of the time of day? - let you down. Overhead sun does tend to appear harsh - What would also help is to try to get some catch light in the eye of the subject - this will add more life to the image, Good start!
