Hi, Jan, nice focus, love the catchlights, shows off the blue eyes nicely. I like the black background, but if you have the space to work with (I know sometimes you don't) I would suggest moving her further away from the background so that no light is hitting it at all. (As is, you can see the wrinkles in the fabric.) The rear arm seems missing to me as well. Her front arm seems a little odd, may have worked better if maybe her fingers were in her hair or something similar, that way the hand had something natural to do. Still, overall a good image!

A nice portrait with good lighting even if a bit too frontal; a few things that I think should be improved : her hand is a bit too high and she should pretend she's leaning on it and not do it for good ... also, the watch is unfortunate ...

Wow she seems so shy as well, almost can see it's her first time. Great portrait Jan, sharpness is great and I love the dark bg. I would lose the watch, it distracts for me a lot, takes away focus from her face. Cheers K.
