Hi Billy, I think this is a nice try. I'm not a big fan of HDR and your picture suffers from the most problems, IMO related with HDR: unnatural look and tones, unintentional halos, just to name a few. But on the bright side I like the composition and the underwater trees are very very nice! Anyway, I take it you like HDR, so my advice is: keep it going!

Hi Billy.. Nice place and lovely water colour, but IMHO you have here two problems: a) a very hard light to take photos and b) a really aggressive post-process of the image, with a lot of halos around reflection and mainly in the sky, different color among branches thatn the shy at the upper right corner. Try to re-process the image with a more gentle treatment to imprive the quality. Cheers and happy new year

Thanks. I agree the frontal lighting thing was hard, but I kind of liked the halo thing. I am a bit to HDR so maybe that will wear off... it just makes it a little more painting-like IMO, though we will see how I feel in a few months. THANKS!
