There is not much to explain here. Yet again this is another 15 year old negative from my High School photography class days. I saw something I thought looked beautiful and I took a shot. I used Ilford Delta 100 Professional film on my manual focus Pentax ME Super with it's SMC 50mm f/1.4 lens. I had scanned this negative as part of a batch back in 2004 on my Nikon CoolScan 4000 and completely forgot about them. Thought I would post and see what response I can get. Hi Sean...overall I think the composition is fine. I like the natural, haphazard arrangement. There is a prominent contrast between the blacks and whites and the image has some life to it. Perhaps the lighting could be played with a bit to bring a few more details. The partially chopped flower at the bottom right is distracting simply because it is so big and dominates the foreground.
