I think that it is a beautiful photo. the light is very good, the DOF is fine and emphasis the subject but still give us the whole story. Mostly I like to see the winner face and the faces of his competitors, we see it very well why he won the competition. you got that point perfect and that is the photo for me.

Very nice to read the time. My humble opinion, well frozen. I like the tones, well-saturated and the strong contrasts. But I'm not convinced, and I do not like (my de gustibus). white halos around the runners, especially in the middle. On his head. Excuse my English. However, a leisurely composition

Thanks Giovanni, I see the CA around the middle runner, should have caught it in post processing. Thanks for your comments.

Good sport action shot, made form a good place with very well captured sport action as well as poses of these men. Good exposure control and use of shutter speed. Thank you for sharing. Regards, Michal.

Yeah, this is a cool shot, definite impact. I wish you were at the f4 end to reduce the busy background a little more. Its funny how good the form is from the runner in the middle compared to the guy on the right lol. Also, consider a "pano" crop as it might help better draw you into the runners and away from the people in the background. You can't see the bottom of the hurdles anyway, so you don't really loose there and if the top part of the crop is just above the runner's heads, you almost completely eliminate the people in the background.

At first I was thinking F4 too, but I worried that the other runners would be blurred to some degree and I think it works better with them all in focus.

Thanks John, This lens is wide open at F4 so I loose a bit of sharpness there. My thought was also to sacrifice the complete blurred background for sharpness on the hurdlers. Thanks for your comments.

This image was at the right time, right place and right setting, image is in clear cut with nice framing, though the horizon is a bit tilted but still the action in the image stand out, regards vans

I like it. All in air, all good faces of determination. Busy, but not overly. Colorful and full. I like it.

Very good sports shot. Your aperture is just about right to keep the other runners in good focus. I would straighten the hurdles so they are horizontal.
