I'd really like to see this image if you had gone into the water and had the level of the fisherman. With a good wide angle it would have been a perfect shot. Now it is just nice, but nice enough for me to start thinking of going out fishing :)

Good color of the structure. Nice fall color too.

I would suggest bringing the left crop just to the side of the house and bring the bottom up to eliminate most of the front so to have a tighter composition. It also doesn't hurt to use level to bring the contrast up a bit too.

Alex, there is nothing subtle about this shot - so you should be MUCH bolder with your post-processing. If your camera is like mine, it records a JPEG as well at the RAW when you shoot in RAW. See what the camera did automatically.

From this image I would simply give it more punch by increasing the mid-tone contrast and colour saturation. Composition and mood are good. Cheers, r
