LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! I completely and immediately understand what you were going for with this, there is nothing in the shot distracting me, colors and lighting are great, the technical aspects are spot-on (LOVE the blurred blades balancing the harshness of the red patterns), and I love the abstractness of the shot. Even after staring at it for several minutes can't figure out what the red thing is tho?!? Best abstract I've seen in a long time, excellent!

Hey thanks a lot David! So the yellow in the shot is the wall. The red pottery is a lampshade. so if you were looking at the yellow wall, you would see the pottery and inside the pottery is a lightbulb. The two lizards are just cut outs in the pottery.

Excellent use of the simple - simple shapes, colours and composition. The blur of the fan adds that little bit extra!

Hello Jonathan, I like the pure primary colors and the simple but effective composition. Too strange those black disc withe the blurred blade. Seems a paint and this is fine. Congratulation. Guido

Semi-abstraction, I like this. Bold, simplistic, with bright colors. I particularily like the capture of the fan, the capture of the blades, blurred and their placement in the composition. I feel the orange electrical plate and shaft of the fan are too centeralized on the centerline. Had you added more space beyond the right border, placing both more to the left, this would be closer to a 3TU image. Good find, good eye. I guess you have to go back to Cambodia for a reshoot... YEAH! > TED

Thanks Ted! You might be right about the composition. I think you are right - I will have to head back there to redo this shot!

A simple but nice hot. The movement of fan is well captured as its blured but not totally dissolved like a shadow on a background. Colors are fine. I think if you turn on the wall mounted light, then the upward lighting would look beautiful. Cheers, Mehrdad

Thanks Mehrdad! I never even thought of turning on the light! Oh well, unfortunately I am back home on the USA from Cambodia and can't reshoot! Thanks for stopping by!
