This is an interesting justaposition of patterns. On close look the different textures of the materials come out. Without the title I think it would have taken me a few seconds to work out what it was - and I like that.
My one negative is the shirt looks a little blown out at the top?

Andrew: Thanks for the view, and the critique. Your points are well taken. I agree, the shirt portion of the image has some issues. Thanks, again. Paul

Hi. Interesting way to obtain an abstract composition from an everyday scene. The contrast of textures and shapes works well. Perhaps a more square crop could work better for this kind of composition. Regards.

your composition hurts the photo. i feel that the tie is cropped and so is the suit, so that puts the shirt in the middle and the tie and jacket sort of vignette and enclose the shirt bringing attention to it rather than the whole scene or just the jacket or tie. doing that drives your eye to the least interesting thing in the photo. i would suggest cropping looser to see the shirt on the other side of the tie, that way the tie would become more of a focus of the image. tommy

I do not want to give a 1 down but I really do not se anything interesting in here. If intention was to create an abstract I woud crop the image 50% in its width, probably then may be more intriguing.
