Orconcocha Lagoon is located in the Huascaran National Park in Llanganuco, Huaraz, Peru at 3,800 m.a.s.l (12,464 f.)
Llanganuco lagoon is located in a narrow valley glacier, flanked by the hills Huascaran and Huandoy (White Mountain range), comprising of the Reserve of the biosphere of the Huascaran. In the borders of the first lagoon, Chinancocha (lagoon female), are leafy forests of quenual. The second lagoon, Orconcocha (male lagoon), is at the end of the valley and is smaller.

This looks like a stunning scene and I really like that you are using the road to draw the viewer into the scene. It looks like it was a beautiful day, but I think that leads to the lighting being a bit harsh and the shadows creating a little bit of unbalance in the photo. The slope at the left of the frame is completely in the shade and slightly underexposed and the slope on the right is brightly lit so it throws off the overall balance. It would be great to visit this place at different times of day to see when the light is optimal and creates a nicely balanced image. The clouds, the glacier to the top left and part of the road are also a little overexposed to the point where some detail is lost. Again this may be solved by visiting at different times of the day, probably early morning or just before sunset. I almost didn't even notice the glacier because of the way it intersacts with the clouds. One last piece of compositional advice is try standing towards the right hand side of the road (almost in the water) instead of right in the middle. This will make the road move diagonally into the scene which will be much more dramatic than a straight line. Try it out if you can. Diagonal lines are often more interesting than verticals and horizontals. Overall a very nice scene. And thank you for taking time to review my photo earlier today.

Hi Such a good lead in,to this landscape.Lighting works well and nice n sharp,Just makes you want to go there,perhaps a small quibble,some burnout in the road and clouds,Still has the WOW factor

Water at the left and right side of the road, well seen and good photographed. The road gives a beautiful depht to the picture. Good lighting,for natural colours. The view is made in a nice composition, thanks for sharing.
