This is one of the many monuments that honours the paratroopers who fought and fell in the battle for Arnhem (holland) in WW2. At the foot of the hill there,s a plaquette with the text "They shall mount up with wings as eagles".

I too like the tree in the photo. I would increase the contrast quite a bit without losing the foggy feel. With more contrast the tree elements becme more precise and contribute more to the composition. Bill

Hi, nice atmospheric mood you have captured with the fog in the background, but I find the tree interferes with the shot rather than adding to it. Maybe try a different angle to get the monument on its own. Also I find that it seems to slope to the right slightly. Rgds, Al

Thanks for your reply Al. To me the tree ads to the mood in this picture. I made several shots from different angles, and i liked this one the best :-) Thanks for taking the time too critique this one. Regards, Richard.
