Canon 1D Mark III + 500mm F4 - 1/400, F10 & ISO 250 - Handheld shot! Probably would have been better if I had used my 5D Mark II and a shorter lens or brought the tripod so that I can close down the lens some more (don't want to go too slow of an SS handholding this camera + lens setup) :-) - Wife & Kid borrowed the 5D Mark II,hence, the ... odd tool to shoot flower.

Marvelous spring picture , of this very beautiful blossoming season. The bee in the flight on the blooms gives the nice picture a special note to composition. The colors are beautiful and work naturally.Good sharpness and light. You have really a calm hand to the photography. Well done.Regards,Diana

Thanks Diana! Good to hear from you, this is a bit along your approach to flower shot (blurred complementary background of same color, I do remember your dandellion shot almost a year ago), I think. Glad you notice that the bee is actually the focal point that I intentionally capture at that approximate spot to draw the eye. If I come back to this place I will make sure to bring a tripod though.

I love this photograph Tue. Beautiful color combination and DOF. The flowers really pop and capturing this bee in flight is an added bonus. Very nice work. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Tue ! This image is beautiful!! The wings on the bee in motion is great. The DOF with the colors is bringing in just enough color since the flower are so bright. I love it. Would look great in a frame. Thanks for sharing. Diane

Thanks Diane! It was a hot day (probably close to 80F) ... even in February and all the Cherry blossoms and other flower bloomed. Taken a week or so ago in San Marino, California at Huntington Library.
