While walking the streets of Rome, I came across three sleeping carnivores and one rabbit too nervous to sleep. I got the sense the owner of these pets was nearby but I did not see him. I shot this group who obviously were so comfortable with each other that they could nap...but even the lettuce didn't seem to calm our little star.

Great capture -- you can quibble about the technical issues in the photo but the content overwhelms it. This is a wonderful, entertaining photo. I have never seen anything like it before.

ha ha ha I loved your "Photographer's Comment", it really added to the image! Now, really, this isn't a great image, far from Fine Art, but you just gotta love the situation, very unusual. And you worked up the image well, not even awakening the talent ha ha ha... very nice shot. > TED

hahah....this is great :) This smooth mood and chill out of that extraordinary group is striking. The only thing which it would be better is framing. In such lazy scene you should have tried to catch it in more interesting frame :) Anyway...Congrats :)

Thx for the kind words. Yes, in trying to keep up with my group (I didn't want to be lost on the streets of Rome) I had to shoot fast so there was little time for "set up." I'm so glad you enjoyed the shot. Dan

Congratulations on getting all the livestock together! Your perspective is excellent and I love the different textures. That great green lettuce adds a nice focal point. For an image such as this, I am sure you could not take very much time on set-up. I would have liked to have seen the dog on the left a little more in focus, but Trust me -- you have a great image! Thanks for sharing.

Lovely capture Daniel. Well animals that are an easy prey are always alert and never sleep like the rest in the photo. I have seen ducks having a nap with one eye always open. I think such defenseless animals are always on the alert.

Yes, perfectly understandable. In any case, he looks well cared for and it looks like the napping carnivores have accepted him easily into the family as a friend. Cheers.
