This looks like a great locale for interesting photos, with the slumped-over grasses disapearing into the ice, and the bare trees. I like the subtle colors shown in these grasses, ice, and tree trunks.

But the upper half of this image doesn't help you here. The pale sky and that hint of sunny grasslands on the left don't contribute anything. Perhaps you could show more foreground, and less sky? I would also look more on the right. There's what looks like a distant hill there, and little or no distracting orange. You could also look for a composition with only a few foreground trees.

I tried a B&W conversion on this image and didn't particularly like it. But I can see that, with different light (say, light on the trees and grasses), B&W could be very nice here.
