Your butterfly looks very sharp Tue, and the subtle details illustrated on the wings are well seen, a little lacking on the black body for detail, just a little more light on there would be great or you may try shadow/highlight to see if some details can be retrieved.

Cheers......Edwin

Thanks Edwin! I wil try shadow/highlight and see. Just like you, I manage to talk the boss into taking the boy to see the Japanese garden & check out the mirorscope at the conservatory & see the insect eating plant at this place (Huntington Library) so that I can shoot birds & butterfly & Lotus ... Hint, hint .. my friend! :-)

Cool photo. I can see the details of the butterfly. DOF is great. Colorful background is interesting. Clarity is not lost at the edges. Maybe only a little bit contrast on the flower is needed. Great shot. Thanks for sharing Tue

Great shot. The brightness of the flowers kind of makes me take my eyes off the main subject.

Great shot with great colors and background, definitely needs a tighter crop though. I am sure this would be a three thumber with a tighter crop.

Thanks Darrell! I thought about a smaller crop but I may have to rotate the butterfly to do so since I want to keep the flower as is and I can keep the same crop tighter but I can not cut off much .. as is if I want to keep a rectangular image.
