A successful scene depicted, which is with some humor and a good technical processing a natural-looking scene.
Regards Gerhard

Man this is so close to being a real winner, but it's let down by a few things. Primarily the flower-girls hair blowing across her face. I realise that this is out of your control and that this was capturing a moment that unfolder in front of you. Such a shame that your aperture wasn't wider, giving you more pleasing DOF and a faster shutter speed to reduce motion blur on the girls foot. Finally, I'd probably do a bit of PP on the bridesmaids knees to lighten the "wrinkles" a bit and make them a little less knobbly. Something I'm sure the girls would be very grateful for. I could also picture this as a B&W.
So close, but not quite there.

I appreciate your thoughts Chris, though I don't necessarily agree with most of them :)

I agree about the knee wrinkles and OOF shoe, but I love love love that her hair is blowing across her face.

I don't have a problem with a bit of hair across the face, but at this point it virtually obscures her whole face. A few chunks blowing across to confirm that it was windy would still give that "lost in the moment" feeling but allow the viewer to see a facial expression and identify the girl behind the hair....just my humble opinion.

to elaborate, I think most of your points are very valid, but subjective. I agree maybe seeing more of her face would be good, though I really don't mind it like this, and I personally like the slight motion blur of her foot. I do disagree about the knee wrinkles, these are fit women in their early 20's with perfectly normal knees, if we were talking about my wrinked, knobby ones I would certainly agree but here I truly don't see a need for any retouching in the knee areas here.

What an interesting idea, Roland. The image really portrays innocence being protected by the bride's maids. I love the composition, focus and DOF. I just wish it were a tad more saturated, as it seems a little washed out. Really excellent photo. Any bride would be proud to have it in her album. I know I would.
