August assignment. Yet another screw up as I try to learn my camera, but I like how this one came out. Fence rails turned into "vapor trails", and anyone who has a 5 year old child can understand the freedom and exhilaration that child portrays when he runs.

The red and the running track caught my eyes. I don't quite care the narrow space in the left or I would even crop away a bit in such being the case. The main point is the subject should be better as long as it was off the center.

I like this mistake.....proves that sometimes capricious elements have good results. Only comment in addition to prior suggestions: the crop would have benefited from more room on the left side for the boy to run into.

Hello Jennifer.

Surprisingly, sometimes graceful mistakes give great results.

I really like the overlapping poses of the boy. Somehow it emphasize the action you have captured. What it is great here is that in one of these poses you have captured the expression of the kid pretty well. I am sure that for his parents it is also a kind of fun picture that will be enjoyed for many years.

The position of the boy in the frame is well balanced and the fact that the is close to the left border increase the tension of the action.

I think that the picture can be improved by simple tone it down the area just in front of the boy (between the boy and the left border). Also the small bright spot at his forehead can be tone it down.

Regards - Andres.

PS: The image certainly fits the category for this month assignment. But you forgot to include the words "August Assignment" in your comment. PS 2: It will be interesting to show what speed your camera was time setting for this shot (The Exif file doesn't have the information).
