Nice photo, but I agree with the bottom part being too dark. If you were to use maybe a cheap slave flash, like one from Smith Victor for less than $20, it could have been place behind the model opposite the camera and would have created a nice edge light. Overall I love the mood of the picture!

I love the effect you have created here with a small flash - beautiful character shot. You need to get some detail in the bottom of crop differently
