I do not like to go on highways that much, less in the cities, but you managed to make this scene appealing with the colors, also the lines are well manered, it gives sense to all this chaos that is a city.
good HDR rendering, I wish next time you try, you take time to avoid the post or at least, maybe try clone it out?
:)

Well seen and executed! The juxtaposition of the sweeping curves of the highway and the railing makes for an interesting and dramatic composition.

Hi Nakean, it's a nice photo that is created by graphical elements, curves. The horizon highlighted with the sun is a nice touch of warm color. However, the yellow lights at the ground level of the crossing make the supporting columns very bright; they grab the viewer's attention and visually break the perfect curve. Good photo overall. Kind regards, Victor.

Thanks Victor. I too noticed this after posting. All the attention is directed there. Perhaps some Burning and Dodging to be done here. Thanks again!

It looks very good. I don't consider the lamppost to be too distracting. the processing gave a nice effect and the composition is good. cheers, hans

yes, and maybe even a wider lens :) to include a bit more of the pathway, very nice shot, with all the curving lines and such, I would like to see you keep the HDR merging but less of the HDR color shifting, especially for the sky, and the color of the highway. amazing to see no cars,

Thank you Sebastian. I tried with the 10-22mm, however the cityscape then seems so far away and uninteresting. Interesting because I generally change only saturation, and lightness, leaving the hues alone. Perhaps the entire temperature must be changed. Perhaps a little heavy on the blue. Thank you for the critique.

Yes you did a good job here...I too have tried shots like this in my hometown and failed miserably! Great use of HDR, not cartoon-like! Leading lines galore too which aids the composition. There may be a slight blue cast from the HDR I think....overall I like very much!
P.S. Got to ask... which town or city is this?

Thank you Robert. It's Seattle. Hard to tell without the Iconic Space Needle!
