The first snow of the season just begins to fall on the Indian Heaven Wilderness in the Northwest USA. I'm not a fan of being soaked and slushed on but I have to say it was pretty amazing to see the forest just barely painted with white here and there.

Your composition works for me as presented. The various green tones are pleasing, there is depth by having having sharp foreground and middle with blurred background. If there was greater depth of field, I think the viewer would be overwhelmed by all the detail. For symmetry, would suggest cloning out the orphan foliage upper left.

I like this type of weather and overall mood of the picture. However there may be more detail in background. Despite f/8, DOF is still shallow. Probably due to focal length you used. Therefore all nice details - moss hanging from trees, small branches etc. are lost.
