Very very nice photo Rusty. I love this type of affect personally. I just have to agree with what's been said concerning the eye. I feel it lacks interest when surrounded by all the sharp detail of the cracked texture. It needs to be sharper in detail and would also greatly benefit from being lit a bit more. It seems the catchlight that's present almost gives the eye a cloudy look.
Love to know more about how ya do this myself too.

Ok cool cool so a few comments on the eye. Great to know! I was going for a bloody, cloudy eye like it is but if it causes people to want something different with the eye then I will have to sharpen it up, clean it up and get some of that detail back out. Again thank you! :)

Great work Rusty, i like almost everythink in this picture, the only thing that i thought could be better it's the eye, more clean or more sharp and maybe without the shine. thanks for sharing.

Hi Rusty. A very intriguing and grotesque image! Your PP skills appear excellent to my eye! The details are superb and I like how you have carefully blended that devilish red eye into the the grey and cracking eye-lid. The tiniest details such as the original stubble on your subjects face, add tremendously to the over all effect. I wonder if the different effect employed at the bottom right of shot breaks the continuity of the cracked effect...just a thought! I bet you are in huge demand at Halloween for producing such fun and exciting portraits! :)

Thank you for your Critique as well. I do have the edit without the teeth and I almost agree that it kind of distracts with the flow of the cracking. I may have to post the other one at a later date and see what it does in comparison. Yes I actually ran a special with editing photos like this for Halloween that went very well. Thank you again :)
