Excellent angle and use of natural framing with the rocks. Though the photo seems to be out of focus, but then again it may be the mist effecting the sharpness of the image.

A nice first post. The composition if good with the dynamic diagonals moving up the rock face towards the trees rising out of the morning mist. The creative choice here appears to be to mute everything in the scene. I'm not sure it totally works. This shot, with the mist and emerging tree, could gain more wow power by increasing the contrast between the rock ledges and the soft emerging scene above. Overall, a nice effort.

Thanks for the critique. I had actually considered adjusting the contrast of the rocks against the trees but then I thought I would just post the image as-is. I guess I should go with my initial instincts. Thanks again for taking the time to critique.

Welcome to Photosig!

Photosig is a site that really stresses critiques both to help the photographer getting them but also as a self learning tool when a critic writes one. It is recommended that members write three critiques for every photo submitted.

If you have any questions about how the site works please go to the FAQ section of the site for most commonly asked questions.

The site also has a forum section for discussing different topics with other members of the site.

Finally the site really stresses the importance of writing critiques for other members and there is a page for help in writing critiques if you need some. It is located at the Photosig Critique Tutorial page. To write a conforming critique, it must be 15 unique and correctly spelled English words.

Again, welcome to Photosig and we hope you find the site helpful for your photography.
