Lovely bird portraits with a fine light and a nice composition, with a natural framing. Good sharpness and nice natural colors. Best regards Tore

Dave, a fine image of the male house sparrow, Razor sharp, flawless DOF and best of all, you resisted the temptation to rotate the image to make the fence square with the canvas. The angle of the fence is what makes this a fun shot,

Joe

Hi Joe.. thanks for the nice crit, I suppose that it could have been rotated to make things more geometrical, but I liked it the way it came out so left it like that, like you say the angle makes a difference to the shot, indeed it does.! glad you like it and appreciate the kind words..

regards Dave

A good one Dave and a cute pose, it's nice not to forget our old friend the house sparrow, a common but gritty little bird and perhaps one of the most neglected ones as well.

Thanks Michael, I absolutely agree with what you say, and they say they are in decline here..!! I always considered the sparrow to be a pretty amazing little bird, true grit indeed..

I have often tried to capture images of birds and its hard as they never seem to stay in one place very long. The detail on the bird is perfect, wondered it you centred it slightly by cropping into the left hand side - how well it would work. just a thought.

Yep its not so easy is it..? didn't really want to center it, the focus point here looks ok to me almost RO3rds.. still, thanks for the nice crit and coming to look and comments..
