Nice one you made here, John, the sharpness is nice, nicely separated from the background and good warm colors. That dog looks like he has fun ;o) Cheers ;o) Sass

Lovely doggie portrait, Bratman, whith a very nice pose and appealing expression. You might try toning down the lighter tones a bit under and above the eyes, the burn tool should work to increase fur detail and reduce some of the glare. Good to see you, haven't seen you around for awhile?

Hi there. Well isn't he a happy chappie! I like the way the details are so sharp. The warm evening(?) light on Dougal contrasts the background beautifully. The light is gorgeous, in particular the catch light in his eye. In terms of composition the implied diagonal lines work well, however I think the crop is a little tight. I would like a bit more room on the right and top. A lovely image and a very handsome dog. :)

Thanks Paula and welcome to SIG. Yes the crop is tight but I have lots of space on the full file. I cropped this tight for greater impact as I am restricted to the size of photo I can upload on the site. If I had more space around the dog then he would appear a lot smaller on your monitor.

best, brat.
