Fish in Aquarium in Doctor's office. During a long day in the dermatologist's office, looking to cure my bordom, took out the camera and shot fish in a barrel! Shot data unavailable. As always your thoughtful critiques appreciated.

I think that's an excellent job taking an aquarium shot. Doubly so when it was just one taken out of convenience as opposed to one you planned.

You really captured the colours well. The DOF is very good and you stopped motion effectively.

Given the environment you shot in, I feel bad for critiquing it, but well, that's why we're here. I think the composition could have afforded the fish some place to swim to or from. ie-it's a bit of a tight shot for my liking. And the sharpness could have stood to be better, especially on the fins.

But, let none of that detract from your effort. I think you did very well with this shot.

Kevin, Thanks for the kind critique. Not much harder to get than a great focus thru a foot of water but can live with it. What bothers me most is the aquarium spanned two waiting rooms, so the view thru the tank is not pleasing to me. Given opportunity and time, I would shoot with a backdrop behind the tank and try to coax the fish closer to my side of the tanks. Thanks again...keeep shooting!!!
