Single backyard hive. My wife's hobby project. The bees got a little bit worked up even using the smoker to calm them.

Bill, returning the compliment of your constructive comments on one of my images.

I always enjoy looking at pictures of people at work, mainly because they are usually doing things that I shall never try!

This picture brings home the whole work ethic from 2 sides, the bees and their keeper. An excellent image, thankyou for posting, Peter.

Great shot. Interesting framing, composition, and subject. I don't know if you're shooting in RAW mode, but I'd like to see a bit more "recovery" in the highlights through Camera RAW import (if you don't know what that is don't worry, just some geek speak.) I really like the lone bee on the white coat. I could even imagine this image cropped to a square format (loose the left side) to emphasize the lone bee.

Thanks for your input. I always shoot RAW and JPEG. I'll consider your suggestions. The beekeeper is my wife.

This is one of those pictures that comes with a sound track, "BZZZZZZZzzzzzzz". Im am very much enjoying looking at all the different ways that you've caught individual bees in your crisp, clear image. eek
