July assignment: "Chaos and disorder".

Thoughts: While "chaos" might be considered a state of its own, the original shape of the world before God's creation (of whatever religion, rather a metaphor) took place and then was copied by man, "disorder" is by definition a negation, the absence of order - or rather its opposite.
In fact I do believe that both terms aren't conceivable for the mind without their opposites. For that reason and in general to create an interesting photo with a certain visual tension in my contributions for this month's assignment a hint of structure and order will always be includeed in my compositions dealing with "chaos and disorder".

Hello Ulrich. I think that the exposure must have been pretty tricky with this - white cat in a snowstorm type problem - and the far corner of the room shows as much detail as the nearest parts. The mysterious dark doorway is well placed to lead the viewer's thoughts to what lies beyond. That door has good leading lines and the three main splashes of colour lift the tension in the shot. I love all the textures: the bricks in the roof, the peeling wallpaper, the rubble on the floor. Nice interpretation. Steve

Hello Ulirich, I like the way you left another hint, the blue triangle leading to the unfinished spacial succession upstairs so that me eyes may continue to move through the door and imagine something behind. Puchong

This very much fits with chaos and disorder. I really don't like the white boarder around this though. It takes away from the white chaos going on inside the photo. Once that's gone there might be a little bit of contrast to tweak. I like the composition, texture and the little bits of color that are hinted beneath the paint.
