An image from a recent wedding. Overall I like the image, but I think that either the church is skewed or my eyes are. Never could seem to get the horizontal lines to look correct to my eyes. Canon 30D with tamron 17-50 lens. Ambient light as the main with a 550EX triggered by Pocket wizard held by assistant behind the bride and groom. Don't remember the power setting.

This is totally wonderful - I really love the light from behind and the symmetric setup. It would be interesting to see it with the two lamps in the top cloned out.

I suck at photoshop and wrestled with those lights not only in this image but every image I have ever made in this church. But I love the arch at the end of the sanctuary and hate to crop it out. I think it frames the couple nicely. But I hate those lights too! LOL

Fine wedding shot, Clint. Very unusual. Nothing wrong with the horizontal lines to my eyes so I think you are being over-critical. As regards the distraction of the veil mentioned in another critique, I disagree: surely it was necessary to place it as you did to hide your assistant holding the flash. Given the trouble you took with the lighting and the impact that the shot has I think it deserves 3TUs.

Thanks for the 3TU! not sure I have ever gotten one of those. My assistants are both very small young ladies and it is a blessing to have them because I can hide them easily behind my subjects!

I like alot about this photo including the lighting especially the mix of ambiant light and off camera flash and composition. I'm sure people will disagree but to me the vail over the groom is distracting. But great job overall.
