Hi Christian, this is a very nice old street shut, the sharpness, the B&W is well done, I find lots of good things in this small street, the plants against the walls, the trees, etc. except that, in my opinion, the light at the end of the street is a bit too strong, maybe you can do something about it to make the last house less exposed. Thank you

Thanks for all the nice ratings. You are all right, the street light is blown out. But I think there is not much one could do against it, except a compensating developer or some HDRI approach. Anyway I take no stock in details of a street light in a night scene. Street lights in the night are blinding and thats how I want to show them. I did some corrections in the bright wall in the background. But not too much. I have tried it but found the result very dull then.

Wonderful textures in this image. The contrast of the coble stone, with the stuco wall, and the nice light contrast well for a very interesting image. I agree that the light is a bit overblown, and becomes almost ominous looking at the trees. Very heavy shadows and nice contrast almost give this the feel of being in the middle of the night. Very well done.

Very nice shot with a beautiful camera. There is some great definition in the dof and nice mix of tones for the bw. The light blows out some of the features and overwhelms, maybe a little less time open for the shutter would have tamed it. Overall, very beautiful and would hang on my wall proudly.

... there is still some information in the negative even in the lights, but as mentioned above bringing some more details into the lights makes the whole rather dull. The only thing I don't really like is the flare around the lamp, but which lens is capable of performing completely without?
