Hi Barbro, interesting play of curves and blue, red and white. Had a go at something similar once where the multitude of hangers and light resulted in an almost overwelming scribbling of shadows. Here quite different. Calmness reigns. Light from above draws shadows from the bottom of the frame to grow upwards. An even more peaceful image would result from a complete horizontal chrome. Waiting room... hah. Got it. Good one. Take care. Luc

Hi, Barbro:)! I see You've eye for the simple things and situations, You show them almost perfectly. And this photo is right sample of that: "ordinary", unordered details, but play of shadows and right shown colours give really good composition. Rgds, Artur

thank you Artur. A simple thing that i've 'missed' for a long time, it was the shadows fault. :):)

A very good idea. It needs a little refinement. First composition: Why not move further along the rail and lose the bracket that leads the eye out of the photo? Next why not either make more of the shadow patterns with better lighting or crop to a more panoramic format? Either would be interesting. Now the title: the concept of waiting is good but perhaps could be even stroinger if there was one garment on the hangars - a lonely sock or something like that.. something that is waiting for the return of the owner rather than the empty row less dramatically waiting for the pupils or team to arrive. This is a photograph that could be returned to and made much meore effective because the basic idea is there! Eain

ok Eain and thank you for suggestions. Panoramic format sounds good. And also something, a little thing that hang there. I visit this place very often so there is chances to rephoto.

It's an interesting composition, but the colors are dull. And the horizontal lines should be perfectly straight to work.

hello Itamar. For convict, so is the metalrod almost perfectly straight all but 2 millimetre. :) i think it is the shadow as make it tilt. Would like to ask you, why are the colours dull?
