This is for the August assignment. I like the old feeling of this photo. It gives off a sense of time. Again: crappy scanner=crappy sharpness (i tried to fix it...but the scanner i hopeless!) :)

Great idea, and a good shot too -- definitely get the feeling of age. I agree that the composition could be more interesting if it was less symmetrical, but I like the old chain + old tree concept. I'm sure focus/sharpness are better on the original than on the scan. Many other factors could be considered as well...if you're not already, you might consider using a lower ISO film (100 or less) for better saturation and less grain. Overall, nicely done!

Not a particularly interesting subject in this photo Sara. Perhaps if your scanner was working the end result might have more impact to me.

Although I try, I don't know what this has got to do with August's assignment. Also, why put your name on the photo, it is very distracting.

I like contrast and textures, exposition is good, needs more sharpness. Composition could be better if take the picture a little bit more to the right (the nail is in the middle of the frame practically). Please, improve your scanning. Also I like your b&w photos.

Great shot, I hope the tree was not hurt while creating this image.
